Ski club _{Les Contamines}

Since 1911, the Ski Club has been an integral part of village life in Les Contamines-Montjoie. It supports young people as they learn to compete, take up mountain jobs (instructor, ski patroller) or simply enjoy the pleasure of progressing on the slopes in a group spirit.

The club now has over 100 members, mostly from Contamines and neighboring villages. It has four sections: alpine skiing, jumping, cross-country skiing and biathlon. Thanks to its top-quality facilities (François Bonlieu and Choton stadiums, Nivorin and Les Praz ski jumps, biathlon stadium, cross-country ski and ski-wheel tracks), young skiers can train all year round in ideal conditions.

From an early age (7-8 for alpine, 10-11 for cross-country), youngsters are supervised by experienced coaches. The best can join the Comité Mont-Blanc in high school to aim for national and international results.

Last but not least, the Ski Club des Contamines is proud of its champions: Marie Marchand-Arvier, Magda Mattel, Ludovic Roux, Coline Mattel, Antoine Bouvier, Nicolas Raffort and Anouck Errard... and all the youngsters who are taking over from them!
