What is the PPF?
WHAT IS PPF?
Supporting athletes in their ambitious project to achieve sporting excellence, academic success and good health!
A program run by the French Ski Federation, the Projet de Performance Fédéral (Federal Performance Project) enables athletes to reconcile schooling with access to top-level competition in their discipline, while preserving their physical integrity.
The Projet de Performance Fédéral consists of two programs:
- The sports excellence program, managed by the FFS and comprising the National Training Centers (CNE = national selection, international competition circuit, generally POST-BAC), Pôle France and Pôle France Relève.
- The high-level access program, managed jointly by the FFS and the Ski Committees, and comprising the Centres Interrégionaux d'Entraînement (CIE = departmental selection, national and/or international competition circuit, generally high school students) and the Centres Régionaux de Formation (CRF = club practice, departmental and/or national competition circuit, generally middle school students).
CENTER INTERRÉGIONAL D'ENTRAINEMENT (CIE)
This program provides our skiers and snowboarders born in 2011 or earlier with the opportunity to compete at the highest level in their sport, offering them athletic training, an adapted academic curriculum (in accordance with the Education Code) or vocational training, and medical supervision.

CIE Mont Blanc relies on three school support structures in Haute-Savoie:
- Lycée du Mont Blanc René Dayve in Passy (General stream)
- Lycée CECAM in Saint Jeoire (Vocational training)
- Regulated CNED (general, technological and vocational courses) with third-party sites in Saint Jean d'Aulps and Thônes (SEA)
REGIONAL TRAINING CENTER (CRF)
The CRF supports young skiers and snowboarders born between 2011 and 2016 in their dual goals of training and long-term development: the aim is to nurture young athletes who are well-rounded, responsible, and active for life. The CRF relies on the Haute-Savoie ski sports-study classes, accredited by the French Ministry of Education and the Mont-Blanc Ski Committee. Like the CIE, CRF athletes are required to undergo annual Regulatory Medical Surveillance (SMR).
SPORT STUDY
In our department, several middle schools and one high school have their own ski sports-study sections, accredited by the Grenoble education authority and the Mont-Blanc Ski Committee. In conjunction with local clubs and districts, these establishments organize school time to facilitate the supervision of young skiers and snowboarders. List of sport-study establishments in Haute-Savoie :
- Collège Emile Allais in Megève, Collège Henri Corbet in Saint Jean d'Aulps, Collège Frison Roche in Chamonix, Collège Jacques Brel in Taninges, Collège Jean Marie Molliet in Boëge, Collège Les Aravis in Thônes, Collège Saint Jean Baptiste in Megève, Collège de Varens in Passy.
- Lycée du Mont Blanc René Dayve in Passy
SPORTS MEDICINE
To ensure that all our athletes remain in good health, we work in collaboration with sports medicine technical platforms, which are responsible for regulatory medical surveillance (SMR) and daily monitoring of our athletes. Depending on their sport and training team, athletes are referred to one of the following centers:
- Center Hospitalier Alpes Léman (CHAL) in Contamine sur Arve, Centre Orthopédique Alpes Annecy, Centre Médico Sportif d'Annecy, Hôpitaux du Léman in Thonon-les-Bains, Hôpitaux des Pays du Mont Blanc in Sallanches and Chamonix
