Biathlon Run National Tour

2.6.2026

On Saturday, May 30, the Club Montagnard Rumillien hosted the very first stage of the Biathlon Run National Tour, a new national circuit launched by the French Ski Federation.

Under the summer sun, the Grangettes Stadium hosted a day filled with sports and camaraderie. A total of 230 participants—including licensed athletes and amateurs eager to try the sport—took part in the various events on offer: youth races, adult races, and team relays.

This new sport, which combines running with laser rifle shooting, is part of the FFS’s effort to make biathlon accessible to as many people as possible. Fun, dynamic, and open to everyone, it serves as a powerful catalyst for the sport’s growth.

The success of this event also hinges on the remarkable dedication of the many volunteers who helped out throughout the weekend. From welcoming participants to handling logistics, catering, security, and sports management, nearly 50 volunteers helped ensure that this first national stage ran smoothly.

The Mont-Blanc Ski Committee would like to congratulate the Club Montagnard Rumillien, its leadership team, its volunteers, and all the partners involved in organizing this event.

This successful inaugural event once again demonstrates our clubs’ expertise and their ability to adapt to the evolving trends and new sports initiatives promoted by the French Ski Federation.

Congratulations to everyone who helped make this national launch a huge success! 🎯⛷️
